Raffles City Shopping Centre or some may refer it to Raffles City Shopping Mall, is a big shopping complex located beside City Hall MRT station, in the downtown civic district of Singapore. It is owned and managed by Singapore developer giant Capitaland.
It is the shopping retail component of Raffles City that comprises two hotels, an office building and a convention center. The two Raffles City hotels are namely Swissotel The Stamford, and Fairmont Singapore (the former Raffles The Plaza). Fairmont hotel is integrated with Raffles City Convention Center, while Swissotel is linked to the basement level and first level of Raffles City Shopping Centre.
A wide range of fashion and food at Raffles City can be found. Dining at Raffles City is easy as there are many restaurants in Raffles City to choose from. In late 2010, Raffles City Shopping Mall opened their expanded retail floor area from utilizing their car park spaces at basement level 2 & basement 3.
As a result, new restaurants and cafes such as Skinny Pizza, R Burger, Osaka Town, Delifrance, etc, and new retailers such as chocolatiers, western snacks, local delicacies, popular Taiwanese chain bubble teas, & other specialty food stores also occupy this increased retail floor. A new link called the Raffles City basement link, lined their row of shops with beauty trades, slimming spas, health & drugs stores, hair salons, nail salons, etc. Raffles City basement two is connected with Esplanade MRT station, a Circle Line station.
Its anchor tenants include Jason’s Market Place, a higher end supermarket by the Dairy Farm Group, and department store Robinson’s together with Marks & Spencer.
