MARINA SQUARE
Marina Square is a shopping mall located at the marina centre of Singapore. It was built in the 1980s, and is one of the largest shopping mall at that point of time.
Since 2004, the shopping center has closed for revamp works, and took about 2 years before they unveil the new look in 2006, giving the mall a new facelift.
It houses a wide range of retail and food & beverage tenants, spread across five levels (including the basement level). There about 300 shops in Marina Sqaure, its anchor tenants include John Little, Superbowl, Golden Village Marina Square (GV Marina), KBox, etc.
At the first level near the central atrium, a food cluster known as the Centre Stage, offers a wide variety of restaurants in Marina Square including Thai Express, Kenny Rogers, Hotpot Culture, Secret Recipe, etc.
In July 2010, Marina Square opened its new extension at basement level known as the Marina Link, an attempt to connect Marina Square to the nearest MRT station (subway), the Esplanade MRT station.
There are also three hotels near Marina Square, namely, Marina Mandarin, Mandarin Oriental & Pan Pacific Hotel. These hotels integrate with Marina Square shopping centre through their respective links.
